I have been wanting to remake this piece for quite some time now. It has been a good five years, my anatomy has greatly improved. I wanted to do the same pose, same setting, same feel that the first piece originally had. I just had to update the anatomy, the details, as well as her look change.
Aethenea is my oldest, and dearest character to me. The poor girl continues to go through so much. Her first life had equal parts happiness and sorrow. The last part of her first life ended with happiness; however when she cast away her ocean home and tried to return to it- the ocean did not take her back. She drowned.
The faeries had found her body on the shore, and through either pity or playful curiosity, they breathed life back into her. She was reborn, with nearly no memory of her past life. What she did remember, came to her in shadowy dreams. It was the reason she had left her glade home in the first place- to find herself.
In the end, she found DS. He broke her yet carried her all at the same time. Gifted her with a daughter in exchange for her eye; the place where it used to be she hides with a veil. Perhaps this day he decided to spend father and daughter time with Arrhythmia, and for once Aethenea was left to wander; DS confident that she will recoil back to him. Aethenea stumbles across a familiar place.
